FM/AM silence, cassette/CD+antanna works, is it the security module?
The AM/FM radio slowly stopped working, originally it worked but would periodically go silent for a few seconds at a time, now it is always silent and never works. CD/cassette work perfectly, as does the antenna extend/retract.
My security module is a rebuilt replacement unit - but all other functions of it work (key fobs, backup sensors, etc.)
I pulled the head unit from the dash and ensured all wire connections are tight. In the trunk the antenna to security module connector appears intact visually, but it is too tight for me to get my hand in there to remove/reconnect (and I have yet to remove the fuse box just to check)
What else could the problem be?
FYI, my VDP has the premium sound package with subwoofer, CD changer, but no GPS.

Are your display lights and digital readout working? You still have cassettes to use?
Check your connections to your cd/navigation player, the system runs through it.
I pulled mine out working if your interested, let me know....(its the premium system also).

I am not understanding your diagnosis of the radio head unit.
The SLCM antenna has nothing to do with ICE (In Car Entertainment).
The SLCM antenna lead goes to the rear glass. The keyfob signal receiver aerial is built into the rear glass.
The radio antenna goes to the electric aerial unit on the right side of the boot behind the rear wheel area. There should be an electrical connector for the motor and the aerial lead for the radio. Lastly there should be braided EARTH strap for the motor unit (grounding shield).
If all the aerial connections are correct, then the receiver circuit in the head unit might have failed????????

Bob, your reply is a hilarious case of lost in translation. To Americans, an aerial and an antenna are the same thing, lol. You've taught me something about the rear window antenna which is appreciated, but I was referring to the aerial on/in the trunk in my post.
All other dash & console electronics work perfectly.
The only cassette I use is a Bluetooth adapter cassette, haha.
