So a few days ago I was driving and I gunned it as I was going up a hill...the car hesitated slightly and then felt like it was in neutral as then rpms shot up 1500 or so... About 2 seconds later it seemed to catch and took off like it normally does...no lights or other issues since then... Any ideas? Do I need to be worried?

 

Any odd behavior from a transmission should be investigated -- since you were on an incline I would have the fluid level checked.
