hey guys,
Got a noisy bearing n/s/ front, east to change and do i need any special tools?

You will need a special socket to remove the locknut/abs reluctor ring and a press to properly replace it.

And a BIG press at that. My 30 ton groaned, although a number of posters have said that a 20 ton did the job.

just had mine done at a jag specialist cost £145 including the dreaded worth every penny i thought and easier

its a pain in the buuutttt! Get someone to do it....we ended up busting the ABS ring tryying to beat the thing off, replaced it with a new one, but it is a big pain the but.

I know this a fairly old thread (ok, not THAT old!), but I was wondering if any of you actually had a garage replace the front wheel bearing and how much it cost. It's definitely not something I want to do at home.
