Front Wing Moulding/Rubbing strip
I recently replaced the 'V' mounts on my 2001 XJ8 Sovereign, and was surprised how straightforward it was.
Elated, I took it for drive. The front end felt a lot tighter. I was parked in the local supermarket and it would appear some driver misjudged his parking and caught the moulding/rubbing strip on the front wing. As there is a large piece missing I have taken it off. It appears to have been glued onto the wing. What adhesive is used to secure the moulding to the wing??? Thanks Bill W.

Most manufacturers use rubberised double sided tape. You should be able to find quality stuff at any auto body supply shop. In North America, the usual brand is 3M.
I like parking spots with pillars on both sides
