Default Fuel pump question

Hey fellas, I have an '02 XJR with 85k miles and am going to be replacing my fuel pumps for the first time. I've been researched and read every post I could find here about replacing fuel pumps but have one question: would I HAVE to remove the subframe to disconnect the fuel lines? I have bigger arms, and will be using a lift to get under the car...not sure if that matters much. Any input would be appreciated.

Brian

I was able to get at mine by disconnecting the driveshaft. Enjoy.

I just disconnected the parking brake cable. It was easier than I thought it would be, but then I have skinny arms. To push the disconnect tool into the fitting, I had to reach up with both hands and do it by feel.

Thanks for the info guys. I ended up disconnecting the rear end of the drive shaft and disconnecting the parking brake cable. By doing this, I was able to get in there and disconnect/reconnect the fuel lines. The only issue I ran into was not being able to get one of the pump brackets out of the tank. For some reason, the bolt on the primary just wouldn't come out. All in all, the info I found here made this project a lot easier!
