Default Fuel Pumps (higher flowing, aftermarket)

So it looks like my primary fuel pump has failed. I removed the relay to first pump and now I'm running on the second pump. (By the way, no restricted performance or codes that I read were supposed to occur by doing this.)

I was wondering if anyone had installed a higher flowing fuel pump, like a Walbro 255 lph or similar without any issues?

I plan on significantly increasing the power in the future and would like to put a higher flowing pump in while I'm in there. I probably would leave the first pump stock and upgrade the second one.

Now I know the 2 stock pumps apparently flow enough for over 600 hp, but good, higher flowing pumps could be bought for cheaper than the stock types so I would prefer to use one of these. Besides, I have a new Walbro 255lph lying around that I bought for $70.

Edit: The restricted performance eventually came on after about 200 miles with the primary pump relay pulled.

One consideration would be whether the in tank wiring is up to the task. Especially the link wire.

I have three black hoses for sale. They are 3.5" / 89mm inner diameter and are about 6 1/4 inches long. They are new never used, just extras from making my intake. 4 ply construction, SAEJ20 compliant, hand wrapped in the USA.
Any underhood pictures of the intake you made?

I was wandering if that would be an issue.

Well, I ended up installing a Walbro 255 lph in place of the stock secondary pump. No issues so far.
The Walbro is longer than the stock pump so I had to modify the pump bracket by boring out the circular top part so that it slips through. Also had to splice the wires together.

I should be good for 800+ horsepower.
