I had a 4 wheel alignment done on my 2000 VDP with 117k miles after I had my front and rear shocks replaced with KYB replacements. I have already replaced my upper ball joins and sway bar links on both sides prior to the alignment. I have 18" Asteroid rims with Contiental Contiextreme contact 245/45/18 tires.



Do these specs look ok? I'm thinking they are still off. The steering still feels a bit stiff. They used a Hunter alignment machine. FWIW, the alignment was $125. I have a 30 hr road trip this weekend and I will be permanently moving across the country. Should I take it back to NTB before I leave?

My specs are within what Jaguar says are normal (except the left front is out of spec), but all the specs are just BARELY within the normal range. I don't fully understand what alignment specs mean, so I don't know if they did a horrible job aligning my car or a decent one. Should I take it back to NTB before I embark on a 30hr move across the country or are these specs good enough?

 

If they are "barely" within spec, then they are within spec. Thats what a spec means. If you want someone to fiddle with the alignment until the numbers are centered on the spec, then expect to pay a lot of money on a Time and Material basis.

 

If you see (modified specification) on your print out that means the tech changed the specifications before printing. I work for a shop that does alignments and that is something a tech will do to make it look like they did a better job than they did or to try to sell you something to fix a problem that doesn't exist.
but to answer your question front toe should be in the green on both sides and left rear toe should be out 10 degree to match the right side. The before looks like your steering wheel was off to the right almost a 1/4 turn or the tech just bumped the wheel to make look worse. It looks like a lazy tach to me but thats just my take on it.
