Default Groan from the rear upon initial start.

When I start the car for the first time of the day I get a low groaning from the driver's side rear, it sounds like a corroded arial antennae going up. I have long ago removed the fuse for my antennae so it's not that.

Any clue from the wise lot here ?!

can you get a video posted? Guessing could be fuel pump, fuel filler lid release solenoid, creeping on the handbrake....etc....

Yes I'll try but it's sporadic not everyday it occurs.

"handbrake" You know what, the people that inspected my car yesterday had an issue w/ the parking brake it was a girl & she struggled to get it engaged. What can I do to check on this ?!

Have you previously heard the fuel pump during start up? Or is this something that only begins when in drive and beginning to move?

I won't bother you about why you haven't fixed the aerial: a simple repair.

Can't recall hearing it before but truthfully my stereo's often on loud seems to be when I'm beginning to move, usually in reverse.

The aerial's in fine order I just disabled it for aesthetics & my upgraded head unit doesn't require it. I'm familiar w/ the sound from an old Infiniti Q45 lol.

The fuel pump will SOMETIMES make groaning noise at start up under normal operation and it is located behind the back seats. This is considered normal and not a reason for concern. If you park inside a garage the sound seems noticeably more amplified (and more concerning), but indeed this is normal and not an issue.
