Stupid question, but should all 4 be lit? Only the two outer ones light when I turn them on.

Thx in advance.

The only time all four are brightly lit is when you have the main beam on, which is in the inner set. The Head lights are outer and the side lights live in the inner pair.

It is illegal (In the UK at least) to have more than one pair of dipped beam head lamps lit on a car, though there are no restrictions on the number of main beams or front fog lamps you have.

Hope this helps!

You will have the outside ones on when on "low" beam or "dipped" as Stu stated. You will also have the two little bulbs at the bottom of the inside "high" beam housings lit at the same time. When you select the high beams by pushing the left stalk towards the dash, all lights will be lit, and I think the little bulbs be be extenguished at that time.

They are pretty bright. Does it make other drivers think you have high beams on?

Actually, they are quite dim, at least mine are. They are more like daytime running lights, but they are only on if the lights are on.

The first setting on your light stalk is for them, side lights. Caveat, on my car they are anyway, and the other two I've had in the last 18 months.

Even with the Main Beams lit the side lights will stay on. You can get brighter LED versions, but I prefer the normal old fashioned bulbs.

In case you were wondering the fog lights reset to off each time you turn the lights off-unless you leave the lights on and turn the engine off (parking lights) then the car will remember and turn the fogs back on when you restart the car.

The running lights in the center lights are on all the time and though they are dim I have people thinking that I have high beams on and they constantly flash me!!! Drives me crazy. Almost enough to pull the little lights out. Hope this helps.
