Default How can you tell what suspension the x308 has?

From the research Ive done there are three suspensions available on these 308's and the cost of shocks varies GREATLY. Can you guys tell me what to look for to determine what replacement shocks to buy?

Thanks!

and yes, I did search

If you told us which year and which model of XJ8 you have that would help

First, it's an XJ8 and not an XJR (supercharged) so that may eliminate some. Also, are there any wires on top of the front shock towers? Those indicate CATS suspension, which I am pretty darned certain the 99 never had.
