Default how deep is this burried?

The little woman gets home from work and tells me the jag (99 xjr) is out of windshield washer fluid. Looked pretty low while filling so I didn't even think to get in and check it but this morning driving it to work I couldn't get anything to come out of the now full tank.
Does anyone know how deep the pump for the windshield washer fluid is buried? Also what are the chances that the pump is a ford (equivalent) part that I'd be able to source locally?
I'll have to get outside the car and listen to see if I can hear anything when the switch is depressed but I held it several times this morning for spurts of 30 seconds or so and nothing. I know it worked several weeks ago when I had the car out for some exercise. It was funny because my wife mentioned there was no "low fluid" warning light so it may not really have been out, just not pumping...Is there a "low fluid" warning for washer fluid on these cats?

The washer pump is accessible after removing the right front wheel arch liner. Before going after the pump check the owners manual for the location of the washer relay and check and the fuse for the relay.
Yes the washer has a low fluid warning.
Attached is the info from the tech manual.

I just replaced a burnt out one and found my issue to be gunk build up in the line up at the top of the main feed line. Seemingly its a bit of hassle to do, but as avern1 says, the pump is behind the passenger front well skirt. Anyways after removing the skirt, I had an extra length of hose and took off the feed and attached this hose to the pump and put it in an empty jug and had a friend activate the unit to verify the pump was ok. The fluid will still run freely from the pump...fyi. Mine wasn't and replaced it with a junk yard one for a 1/4 the price. Then I took the cowling apart (five torx screws) around the windshield apart after removing the wiper and checking that hose for clearance on it. I removed the main feed from the pass through elbow (be careful, the elbow old, weathered and will probably break, mine did) and checked the line for clearance. It was stopped up and needed cleaning. I have a nylon fish tape I shoved in it and this gunk came flying out the windshield side and it cleared the problem. You can get a cheap nylon fish tape refill from Harbor Freight that'll work.
Overall, the whole process was roughly an 1 1/2 -2 hrs, 20 minutes waiting for my friend to show up. Also for the fluid that'll still gravity run, I snipped a piece of the test hose off and put a screw in it as a stopper to temporarily plug the pump while clearing the lines.
That elbow I got off eBay if yours breaks... Jaguar 97 06 XK8 Wiper Washer Windshield Connector GJA8969AB | eBay
I have a second pump if you need it, same price I paid for it ($20 + shipping and I tested it).

Default constipated cat!

Armed with Vern's info I went home planning on pulling the wheel and liner. I checked the manual for the relay and fuse location and found both vacant(!) I know I've sprayed fluid on the windshield from inside the car before so while shocking that exercise didn't really help pinpoint my issue(s). My wife arrived just in time to run the pump from the switch while I got on my back to pinpoint where the motor was and I found that the motor is actually running. Hopefully I haven't damaged it too much trying to get fluid out the business end but Highhorse I think you've hit the nail on the head, I must have a plug in the line. Fingers crossed I don't break anything fixing it this weekend and sometime I'll have to figure out why my manual doesn't agree with my fuse and relay boxes...
