All - I have a 1998 XJR and I cannot figure out how to change the lens on the low beam driver side. It is shattered. I ordered the replacement lens (not the entire assembly).

I first removed the metal ring surrounding the light, additionally, I completely unscrewed the screw which is used to adjust the height of the beam.

The light is stuck on two remainingconnections. Cananybodyplease guide me on how to disconnect the two pieces for the old lens?

open hood walk to front of car and grasp with two hands and pull straight to you .. but becareful can hurt yourself.. or you can usea pry bar to put between lens and bracket and push apart..

 

Thanks - that was difficult...and I had to pull so hard that i fell on my **** when it finally came off.
