Default How do you take the door lock barrel apart

Seems someone stuck something in my door lock, a piece of wire maybe, and it is stuck inside. tried to use needle nose plyers to remove it but nothing, So I decided to remove the lock, no problem there, jsut can't see how to open so I can get the "disc" out along with what is stick. Figure why I am at I will clean and lube and get the cutting code. Just hope all is in good shape.

A few decades ago I took a paper document and converted it to pdf.
It is an early TSB about the TIBBE keys.
The TSB is for the XJ40 and XJS but the key code/cut configuration is the same for the 8 slot.

Thanks Motorcarman, as usual you come in with some great information. I have one on the glove box but nothing with the door lock. that will be a great help.

Just notice, the Tech Bulletin is for 90-91 Sedans and mine is a 2003, but should work for some guidance. hope the picture is clear enough to see, I need to get the plastic retainer out which I think may be pressed in? not sure.

Finally got the lock apart, and back together. Thanks Motorcarman for the TSB helped even with slight differences, and that is very slight
