this is a car I wouldn't lower to begin with...ride is firm enough already and rubbing is inevitable here...no room. I would spend the $$$ elsewhere....JMHO

Where do they rub? I have a 99 XJR lowered with Arden springs and never had an issue running 8.5 inch rims in front and 10 inch in back. I did have the shocks revalved to stiffen up the compression and rebound rate to be able to handle the increase in spring rates. How old are your shocks? The stock shocks can not handle any increase in spring rates IMO.

This should give you an idea of the stance you would acheive by using lowering springs with stock wheels and aftermarket wheels. The car here is using Arden springs. I'm not sure how low Mina springs lower the car in relation to stock height. The Arden springs lower the fronts about and 1.5 inches and rear about 1.25 inches.

Very nice. Precisely the look I'm trying to achieve. I just put a set of black R281s on mine from Eurotoys. If it ever stops raining on the east coast, I owe Mike some pics. No big alignment issues, huh? That's great news.

Are you talking about the same car here 2000 XKR? What rubbing? What wheels and tires were you running?

Does the X308 have a camber adjustment ? The X300s, like my early XJR, don't.

If the answer is "no", how do you guys get around that when lowering your cars?

Cheers

The vast majority do not lower their cars.

i cant see why you would want to lower a car that has a perfect ride height. its low enough to look good but high enough to take a speed bump without flinching and slowing down to a crawl

my 2 pence, the XJR is lowered 15mm over standard, 308's have camber adjustment. If you want "the look" buy bigger rims, they look perfect on 19 inch in my opinion. Lowering just messes the whole issue up. Jaguar spend thousands of hours on the proving ground at Millbrook to perfect the ride. Why do you think they have many bushes in the suspension. The one very strong thing about these cars is the suspension, you want sports car handling, buy a Lotus.....

I was advised at the time of purchase of the springs that if I had two to three fingers room between the tire and fender lip I would be fine! Well, I had that much space but now the technician that installed the parts thinks I will get to many problems from the springs. Has anyone had any experience with these springs or can you make suggestions! I am open to any ideas, and yes I have the original springs and know that I may have to put them back in. They just dont give me the "stance " I was hoping for. Any help would be appreciated!

you find it by lowering the car looks good but all the front end will be damaged so I be going back to stock as it looks anyway if you want to look low just put 19 rims on it with high profile tires
