Suspect this has been asked before so forgive me asking again any know what the key if for on ids . It asked for password so suspect only given too dealers . I.m trying fit a s/h gauge cluster. But no mileage comes up so clear it needs reprogramming with milage from old one . I read it can be done but only by increasing mileage .

 

it’s the same seed key as SDD

mileage correction is engineering mode only and it doesn’t work. if your pack doesn’t plug and play it’s the wrong part

 

Thankyou for your advice. I have two s/h ones from 1998 supercharged xjr with part number lnc 4300. That don't show mileage. Mine is. 1999 part number lnc 4000 strange number gone down on a year later car.

 

The VCATS label in the boot will have all the info for the INSTPK.

 

I.m going send the packs too someone who can cloan the software onto the s/h pack . Problem is I did have old pack tested with no fault found . Could the software on the pack be the problem ? . Ids keeps saying blue black wire fault into pack . Problem stiff stearing / cats suspension . Clearly I got no hope downloading program from jaguar topix . So only other thing can do is find scrap car with same sticker part number in boot ? Any advice much appreciated
