anyone know any place to get a good deal on ignition coils for a 2000 xj8 there fairly expensive from most places...help...

 

I paid $105 + S&H from Gaudin Jaguar Las Vegas, ordered online 11-2010. Since from a Jag dealer I was confident it would be an OE part. Was not willing to take a chance on some eBay seller I knew nothing about.

Never had a problem.
Inspect first and see if you have two wire or four wire. I used the vin and bought four wire based upon that, only to find that I had two wire on my 99. Luckily I can use the four wire on my 03.

 

4 PIN is LNE1510AB, 2 PIN is LCA1510 AB

My 2000 XJ8 used 4 pin one.

I'm a FIRM believer in AMAZON for many items. The Beck Arnley's come directly from Amazon, and I've had Very good luck buying directly from Amazon. Shipping is usually quick, and item is usually as described.

Just an FYI: Beck Arnley subs out their parts, so they may end up being the other brand after all for more money. Maybe not, but it's possible.

 

Easiest way to determine if your coils have the 2-pin or 4-pin is to remove one of the coils and view the connector and maybe look at the part number on it.
