I'm not sure about the tune, but yes it was missing and had trouble running smooth... i just touched the battery leads together and that worked fine.

From my (limited) understanding of ECU tuning, if you have a custom "map" written into the ECU, then it will not be lost with a hard reset (touching battery cables) the ECU will just lose it's adaptations...it will simply revert back to the original parameters, either the original or custom map...the default before learned adaptations.

Turn off Key. Disconnect Negative Cable (disconnect FROM BATTERY, leave connected to body). Turn Key to Running Position. Touch Negative Cable to Positive Cable and hold for 5-10 seconds. Turn key back off. Reconnect Negative Cable. Start car.

OK,

Just applied slow set JB weld to leaking coolant pipe (pulled out pipe/got epoxy where it needed to go) so I will re-fill the coolant tomorrow and do the hard reset and try again.

I gave everyone thank yous in at least one post on this, kind of like haloween

Good news,

The hard reset fixed everything. Purrrrs like a big cat again Pretty amazing considering how severely bad it was running before. I seriously thought I might have left a injector unplugged or have some massive air leak somewhere.

Thank you everyone for your help, this board really saved me here.

To give you guys the benefit of my experience on this, my first dis-assembly of the entire top end of the engine, I'll post a few of the things soon that I changed to make it much, much easier to take the engine apart and put it back together again.

Once the ECU detects an issue with the TB, it will disable the throttle motor. Then the butterfly goes slightly more open in the relax state (increasing the RPM), and the ECU will control the engine RPM by cutting fueling (the misfiring), and next to that throw lots of codes (like the tracs).
