Default Jaguar logo puddle lamps

For no other reason but to be as ostentatious as the Jaguar wants to be.

They look really good!! I seen these on eBay and was hesitant to purchase. They have them pretty much for Jags to BMW's to Chryslers. Glad to see a forum member purchase and install them. Which seller did you use?

I don't recall the seller, it was the smallest most recent set I could find. It just seemed to make more sense on this car than some of the more "normal" vehicles they have listed. I hesitate to buy them for my 740il because then it becomes less unique to have.

I kept the regular puddle lamps as well in there, they didn't interfere much. I put them in the bottom of the panels spaced in a bit and tied them to the factory puddle lamp wiring.

I bought them for all 4 doors, they are really crisp and clear in person.

Pretty straight forward.

I used a 9v battery to power them up so I could see how they would look in different locations and then decided on a spot.

I marked the same spot on each door panel, a couple inches from the factory puddle light.

Removed each door panel, drilled the hole (with supplied holesaw) and inserted them in and loosely fitted the door panel.

I adjusted the logo to the orientation I liked the best when the door was fully opened, then tightened them down.

I ran the wires to the factory puddle lights and spliced them on the connector.

Button everything back up and done. Took less than an hour to do all 4.

Ken,

Thanks for the quick, down and dirty right up! I considered this for my 740i and 300C. Definitely wasn't looking forward to putting them into my 740i until I thought of cutting into the panel lol

I am addressing the myriad of oil leaks on my 740iL right now so fun stuff like this is off that list for awhile

Neat to see another member with both cars, I would say that I enjoy the XJ a bit more than the 7, the 7 is just so bland and boring in comparison.

I have the dreaded puff of smoke intermittently on my 740i! I'm not looking forward to my Indy's quote for repair. Yesterday I had a blow out on the right rear lol My dearly beloved 740i is betraying me--not to mention a very, very, small annoying oil drip I need to track down. Between the Jaguar repairs and BMW, I live on Jaguar Forums and Bimmer Forum.

So far I'm still loving the 7. It's so very quiet, picks up before you know it and cruises like no other at 85 mph. The leather interior screams comfort. This is my second Jaguar, first one was a nightmare, hoping this one after repairs erases the negative thoughts.

You're right, it's always pretty cool to find car owners with like vehicles and mindsets.

I don't know what to say. I kind of hate them, but kind of love them. And, I may need them.

Doesn't hurt that they are silly cheap

These are completely ridiculous. I would never install them on my car, unless you post a link to where you bought them.
