Talking Jerry-rigging a floor-net-style cargo net in the trunk - suggestions?

Okay, the OEM trunk net is the upright kind that is IMO more annoying then useful - my last car had a lay-flat floor-mounted net which I still have (my previous car was parted out) and would like to "jerry-rig" it to the jag boot-floor.

Any suggestions for mounting points and mounting hardware? Previous car had factory D-rings welded into the floor.

The hooks on the net-corners are universal and look like:

The net-style that I am referring to is:

Thanks!

What are the dimensions of your net? couldn't you use screw hooks into the plastic wheel cover?

About 32"x21" at the ends (which extend beyond the corners of the net) but it can stretch or stay a little loose and still hold cargo okay.

What screw hooks on what plastic wheel cover?

OK, I'll play and walk you through this.

Buy 4x screw thread hooks for hanging things on from a hardware store, the kind you put a jacket on the back of a door. Like deez.
http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/main/s...crew-hooks.asp
Drill smaller-than-the-thread-on-the-screw-hooks at each corner of the spare wheel cover in the trunk (it's plastic covered in carpet).
Screw the hooks into the holes and hook the net up.
This is done AFTER you have measured and checked the net by lying in on the cover to make sure it's snug and stretched correctly.

Hmm, maybe I should not have called this "jerry-rigging" as I did not want to make new holes but rather discover existing potential mounting points - holes, bolts, beams, etc. that I can connect to.

Mounting bolts vertically through the plastic is not going to be very durable at all, even if they are stabilized with big washers & bolts they will eventually break the plastic...

I have one of these:
https://www.jaguarparts.com/catalog/...rgoCarrier.jpg

it folds up when you don't need it, it has 2 partitions which can be moved about with velcro fastening, and it doesn't require any type of modification to the car

as far as your trunk net idea, you could try putting a rubber band around each corner of the trunk floor plates, that would act as an anchor for your net
