my pre2000 key fob rubber pad basically melted and needed a replacement.
was able to find a seller from the forum info - POLMEX from Australia. placed an order in October and had been patiently waiting.
finally contacted the seller for an follow up and was told now, they were having problem with US custom and the package was returned and they decided NOT to sell to USA anymore because of that!!
Why on earth US custom is giving problem for a piece of small rubber?!!!
I am back to lost world again looking for the rubber pad of the fob.....

Not sure if you're still looking but here's the situation I was in. I recently purchased an '02 Vanden Plas with one remote. Remote works OK, but the print on the pads was worn off. I purchased two more remotes used off eBay with the growler logo on them but again one of those had all the print worn off the pads.
I went to the following site and was able to purchase a new empty case (actually 2 shells with pads but no electronics) for $6.77 each plus tax and shipping. Total cost was $19.49. The print on the pads are not identical and the shell does not have the growler logo; Instead of a headlight icon it has a horn icon in the bottom left and for the trunk icon the car faces the other way. It's still better than what I had which was four completely blank pads.
i ordered then on a Saturday from Nebraska and they arrived the following Thursday in South Carolina. I took my existing growler remotes, opened them up and replaced the rubber pads with the ones scavenged from the new shells. The shape and button placement is identical to OEM. I kept the new remote shells in case I should ever break the ring off the end of my existing growler fob. OEM is on the left and replacement is on the right.
If you have an original growler case where the hole for the key ring is broken off of it; this would be a less expensive option than paying $80 to $100 for a used one off of eBay with the growler. Just transfer your electronics into this case.
Hope this helps.

hi, Fred. Not sure if you are aware our x308 uses 2 different types of fobs through out its product years.
Mine is a 2000 on the split year with earlier version of the fob which many of us having problem finding a replacement.
Which post 2000 modle X308 like yours uses a fob which you could still able to have many replacement option.
I used to own a XJR100 with your fob also.
