LED bulb fix for failed brake light control moduletput
My right brake light was out. Bulb good. 4V at bulb. There are lots of threads on failed SLCM. The fix of tapping off left brake light discouraged because too much current through one prong of SLCM. There is the option of tapping into trailer light wiring. My fix was to tap into left brake light and use LED bulbs. Incandescent bulb pulls 21W. LED bulb pulls 2.3W.
