LED Brake light problem, faulty bulb?
So I got these nice LED brake lights a month or so ago. They were a pretty good price and they were super bright. Not CREE's but I think they are the Samsung chips. Anyways, I thought they were doing great til I realized one bulb was not working. It turns out it will either work as just a parking light, or just a brake light, but not both like the other identical bulb will. I have tested both sides and it's just the bulb. I tried almost everything to get it to work. It just doesn't want to work as both parking and brake light together. I contacted the company about possibly sending a replacement but I am just frustrated because I spent a good amount of money on them and it appears it was defective from the start. I just didn't notice it because I saw the parking light functioned and one side light up bright so I assumed both were working as brake lights as well.

04xtype04, I have to agree, sounds like it is a bulb fault. Granted, if both are doing the same thing, then it is a manufacturing issue, not a single LED chip failure. Granted, maybe they were designed around only having 1 or the other on (why, I don't know, but it could have made sense to someone).
