Default Light switch assembly removal - how?

Hi All

Took my car in for MOT today - failed due to problem on light switch (headlights go out when indicators used in Auto mode) Has anyone else had this problem?

I actually don't use the Auto mode, but have to fix it. Question - how do I remove the light switch stalk assembly to either fix it or fit another?

All advice will be much appreciated

Charles

PS
I recenently fitted reversing sensors - NEVER AGAIN! First line of instructions should be "First, dimantle the car"

I have not done it, but alldatadiy.com details the procedure - appears very simple. Subscription is inexpensive and well worth it, IMHO (no affiliation, etc).
Cheers!

So, do the lights go out as soon as the switch is rotated to Auto Mode, or only when you turn the signals on?

My car has the problem of the lights going out as soon as I turn to Auto mode and I've found it's the light sensor system in the rear view mirror.

No, only when you use the indicators. And not always. I suspect the switch

Sounds reasonable, good luck with the repair.
