Default list of parts needed to retro-fit Nav to 00/03

I got a private request for the parts # needed to retro-fit the navigation system but instead I'm putting it here for all to see;

First some background:

I have a 01 XJR that I bought new and 1 of the several modifications ( "R1" option, power-fold mirrors, etc) that I did a few years back was to retro-fit the factory navigation system.

When I first started to work on the project, my local dealer told that it was not feasible but obviously they were wrong since I was able to do it.

Parts needed:

For all years with the premium sound (00-03)
Navigation Module LJD2442AB. same than Alpine XK8. $175/300 used Ebay
Navigation module bracket HFN8844AA
navigation module brackets HFN8847AA and HFN8846AA
Setscrews FS106121J (4)
Screws SE104084 (4)
washers WF703080 (4)
Antenna LJD2449AA
Left trunk carpet GNF3613CALFX
Nav disk

Years specific:
ICE ( In Car Entertainment) harness
2000 LNF3650CC
01/03 LNG3650CC

For 2000 ONLY
Interface module LJD2442FC
Bracket LNF3925AB
Screws JZS100119 (2)
KIT ( include all the above) JLM21313
The function of the interface module ( vehicle speed) was incorporated in the dash for later years.

For NON-PREMIUM system
CD changer LNF4160AA
ICE harness:
2000 LNF3650BC
01/03 LNG 3650DC

A few IMPORTANT notes:
1/Non premium system REQUIRE the addition of the CD changer
2/ With a slight modification, the 2000 ICE harness , which is much cheaper, can be used on 01/03
3/Even after installing all the correct parts, the system will not work because it need to be programmed with a SPECIAL CD.
The part # for it is JTP824 or Alpine WD112 but it will NOT show up in any database but the service dpt. should have one.
If not I have 1 that I can loan.
4/ the last updated nav disk is almost 8 years old
5/ Some of the ROW cars already have the correct ICE harness

Buying all new parts, the cost can exceed $5K but by shopping with a mix of used and new, I will estimate about $1K.
Why should someone spend so much money when a much better after-market system can be had for less than $100?
Design and integration/look is the only reason and each have I'm sure a different opinion about it.

This reminds me of the other post about cutting your own keys (that only work in the door since there is no transponder...)

$50/shipped buys a MUCH better GPS:

If clean-look is so important then just buy a very slim GPS and mount to the back of the sunvisor... I just use Google Maps on my Android mobile phone and stick the phone into the ashtray (it is clean, nobody smokes in my Jag...)

One of the big advantage of a factory integrated nav system is the voice directions through the car speakers.
I have a couple of after-market navigation/GPS and the main issue for me is the very poor sound through the tiny speaker

There is another thread here about adding an aux. input to the factory head, if you do that then you can plug in the GPS to that. My cellphone can do bluetooth audio, so that is another option to retrofit (and would be wireless, but will drain your phone battery fairly quick)
