A little help,please!
Hi,
I am looking for the flange piece (end piece/end cap) that clamps the front brake air cooling ducts to the fender skirt on the 1998-2003 Jaguar XJ8 (X308). This is a plastic flange (L-shaped) and is Jaguar P/N: HNC4469AF.I am in need of both sides (R & L). If you have a set for sale (cheap),let me know. You can PM me if you like.

Thanks for your input Ken.I had already checked with my local dealer,and they sell for $11.44 ea.,plus tax..............I am REALLY hoping I can get my hands on a set of good,used ones for WAAYYYYY less than that.

The brake cooling ducts are of marginal value to your car, and I see many cases where they are missing with no ill effects.Here's my suggestion:
Pull the ducts off your car, and put them in a box. I'll give you $5.00 each for them, $1.00 for the box, .14 for the tape, $2.20 for a half gallon of gas to make the round trip to the Post office, $8.95 for Priority shipping, and .85 for delivery confirmation. That grosses you a whopping $23.14!!! Put that together with the $24.25 you saved, and you've got almost $50 bucks!!!
Sadly, that won't be enough to get you laid...but neither is your car. Maybe you could get a scholarship to that university instead.

What a shinning compilation of Jewels! All three of you must be kinfolk to each other,or at least,you are members of the same "mutual admiration society".....................What a shame! The only thing that I'm certain of is that you are nothing more than a handful of smart-asses which have unhibited access to a keyboard in an otherwise fine Forum........................Pity!!!!!!!

Jag XJ8, I think you let your emotions get the best of you in this case. Chas called you frugal, which in itself, is not a insult. Many millionaires out there are wealthy from being just that. If you are, you should be proud of that fact, and expect a little razzin because of it. After all, most people aren't as tight in the wallet as you are...you're just an oddity...again, no disrespect. The follow up posts started out as just banter, but you offered the best wishes from FU university...which got you more than a simple 'good luck' to finding a less expensive alternative to your original problem.
If you do stick around, you'll learn to appreciate the humor with alot of these members. If not, you'll miss out on some great knowledge and opinions, whose I guarantee you, will save you some considerable monetary denominations later on when the repair or part is in up there in the triple digits.

Hey! Jag XJ8 come on nowyou are driving a Jag so $11.44 + tax and you want cheaper. I think that is funny, sorry but I do. As the Tech told you , you don't even need them on that car so you actually saved $22.88 + tax. The advice cost you nothing so all I can see for you is ++++.
