Very unusual to have a coded radio outside Europe although a handful of US members report having these fitted in their vehicles.

Many rumours on the web of button sequences that will unlock it. This does work for the XJS but I've never found one that works for X308 or XK8.

In the UK, any Jaguar Dealer can look up the 4-digit code for any Jaguar on the Direct Dealer Warranty System. Most do this f.o.c. on being presented with proof of ownership. I've heard US dealers aren't often so helpful but don't know if this extends to Canadian dealers.

There are several listings on ebay for lookups from the VIN but there are also many reports of these not working.

One of the techs on the forum who works at a dealership could pitch in and offer to lookup the code for you ...........

Thank you Graham. Hopefully a tech will take a look at my question and help me out.

I can tell you from my personal experience.

Regardless most people say us spec cars should have no radio code. My radio got locked and made the story short and fast forward to the resolution.

I stopped by dealer with the proof of car ownership and they looked up the code for me.

It worked but it was back to factory setting(euro radio), you have to reprogram back to US radio frequency.

My advise is don't waste time to figure out the other way or bypass. Just go to the dealer to get the code.
