Default Looking for Jag Mechanic in Plano (Dallas) area

We just moved to Dallas April this year and are looking for a mechanic for our 2000 XJ8. We would like to find a local mechanic that really knows his Jags and not a shop with the usual "mechanics". We do not want to pay a fortune for poor service or the wrong service. We live in Plano and my husband works in Farmers Branch. I am still looking for a job so we would like to find someone reasonable. PLEASE HELP!!

Look for Motorcarman here on the forum. Bob Gauff used to work for a dealership and he sure does give good advice, and I know he is knowlegeable so I would bet he will treat you right.

Fortunately, I live much closer to Motorcarman than you do....but IF I lived in Plano or Farmers Branch, having had services performed by both, I'd happily drive the extra 45 min past JAGMAC to get to Motorcarman. And I say that having been reasonably pleased with my encounter with JAGMAC.

If I lived in Plano, TX, I would take my Jag to Bob Gauff ('Motorman' on this Forum) in Decatur, TX. I have never met Bob, but I know well of his remarkable Jag knowledge from his tremendously helpful posts of expert advice on this Forum. I have more than once imagined myself driving to Decatur, where I have never been, for the sole purpose of thanking him personally for so generously sharing his knowledge with us all.
You are closer to Decatur in Plano than I am in the Dallas neighborhood where I live. JAGMAC in Dallas is much closer. I have relied upon them exclusively for the past 6 years and trust them completely.
