Low rear end
My '97 has around 138,000 miles on it now. I'm the second owner so I have no idea what if anything has been replaced in the rear suspension. So assuming the springs are original. Anyway had a chance to compare side by side a 2001 I think to my 1997 and noticed that the rear of my xj sits at least 2" lower. With more than double the miles of the 2001 I'm guesing the springs are old. Is this common? Could it be something else? It drives and rides just fine. Has anyone tried just adding a spacer on top of the springs? Like a budget boost lift for a jeep?
This is the X308 forum (1998-2003) but I have had both- my 1995 XJ6 sat much lower than my 1998 Xj8. I am guessing the settings were different, but I will let others more knowledgeable chime in!
