Default lured back by the siren's song - 03 xj8

well , ive taken a break after being raked over the coals by a 98 VDP. so now, i put a deposit down on a very clean florida xj8 sovereign with 67k one owner miles. quartz grey / black interior. all the jags ive had had oatmeal interiors , ive always lusted after the black. something about the contrast with the wood that is so gorgeous. anyhow, i just want to confirm somthing about the trans.... did they indeed upgrade the a-drum by 2003? its a 52801 vin car. also , with this milage, should i look into an immediate drain / fill of the trans and diff? i have done extensive reading on those issues here and it seems like this is the right milage to freshen these fluids to prolong life.

Yes, right time for oil/filter change, I did the same on mine. The A drum factory upgrade is a nice story(my car is 53...), but no official papers to prove it.

so i know this subject has been beat to death , but on a car with 67k miles, would one recommend doing the drain / fill / filter in the trans? i figure this milage is perfect for it to have the desired effect and possibly prolong the life of the unit. i would do the diff fluid regardless.
anyone?

go for it. Shop around for the trans fluid though, it varies wildly.

i found ZF lifeguard6 for about $23 / quart on bavarian autosport.com. i figure 6 quarts should do on a drain and fill
