Missing the bolt by alternator.
I found this missing bolt. I've been having the battery not charging problem for a few months I finally figured out that it is a corroded wire rather three wires that I have corrected better not charging message is gone. While addressing this issue I saw this bolt missing. I'm assuming my guy that replaced the alternator misplaced it what size and depth do I need to replace this bolt.?

I've had a look through the workshop manuals and couldn't find any references to the alternator mounting bracket bolts. Perhaps someone with more experience knows something.
I see 2 methods of getting a new bolt:
Have that last guy that worked on it tidy up his work.
Or, take out the other mounting bolt and see if it has adequate thread engagement with the empty hole (making sure it's long enough and there's no bits of broken bolt in there). Then buy a duplicate of that bolt at a hardware store.
I don't know if it's just the pictures, but I don't see any threads in the bolt hole. Is it stripped out?

Could the alternator bracket have shifted up so they couldn't get that top bolt back and it then turned into halfajob? (putting the belt back on first would do that.....)
Hopefully dropping the belt off and releasing the bottom bolt a little gets it done.
