Could it be the blower (supercharger) ?

your right, it's probobly the supercharger, if your still not sure you should go to youtube and listen to a supercharger
to get you an idea of how they sound like

I know that the 99 and 2000 XJ's had problems with wind noise around the windshield sills, but I thought I heard that Jaguar fixed this before the 01 model. I know they didn't fix it for my 01! LOL

Use masking tape to tape off the windshield and narrow it down to a smaller spot.

I just had this fixed on mine as well.

Mine was at the top/center of the windshield.
