I know I have seen it, can't find it: can someone confirm that engines later than 010813XXXX have the newer style Morse silent running sprocket and chain. I think my new unit, built in May 2002 and registered in the US ,as a MY 2003, is so equipped.

Car is running great; renewing some suspension stuff next week (new shocks, mounts, et al) to quiet some noise when it is really cold. Found a locksmith who was able to deliver a new key and fob since dealer said they were NLA ($245, but I can relax!).

Guess I need to put F56714 into my photo instead of F35063 and my my granddaughter!

 

engine SN 0108130000 onward is supposed to have the new style 'timing-innards'.

 

Or, take off a cam cover to be sure.

 

Hard to make out, but I beleive my engine sn is 011120XXXX and it has the morse chains.
