Default Motor oil for Nevada?

I moved from Pennsylvania to Nevada (Las Vegas) and I want to go with a heavier motor oil due to hot weather. I've been using 5w30 Mobil 1 fully synthetic. What grade should I use for the high temperatures in Vegas? Thanks

There's a table in the owners manual that shows the correct viscosity for various ambient temperatures. You'll probably find that 5W30 is still the most suitable.

Jaguar recommends 5w/30 synthetic.

Why not 5W50?

"Popular in for performance engines in high-temperature climates
Popular for 5.4L Supercharged Ford applications like Shelby GT 500 and Ford GT"
