Navigation system not working

Navigation system not working
Just bought a 2006 xj8L and the NAV system in the trunk did not have a NAV DVD installed. I bought a newJAguar maps dvd and the Navigation screen just reads "reading DVD" and will not move forward. HELP PLEASE!!
