Default need the correct part # for

Good day to all

my absoultely unreliable jaguar broke down again.

I lost the steering totally, sterring wheel now is cireling without turning the wheels.I have the replacement steering racking and pinion in stock and will install tomorrow

my question is air bag light is on now. I was told the I need to change the "Clock spring aka, cancelation module, aka steering column cassette reel, aka as of now air bag sensor", you know what I am talking about anyway

my car is XJR from MY2000

I found there are 2 parts numbers

pre-MY2000 and LNC6470BA

post MY2000 LNG6470AA

are they really incompataible, the latter one is cheapper somehow

Looks like 1998-2000 XJ clock spring part number is LNC6470BA and 2001-2003 XJ is LNG6470AA. Info on potamkinparts.com

Air Bag Clockspring | Genuine Jaguar | LNC6470BA $167.33 plus shipping - LNC6470BA 1998-2000 XJ

http://www.potamkinparts.com/oe-jagu..._str=lng6470aa $257.71 plus shipping - LNG6470AA 2001-2003 XJ

You don't need to buy a new one, Just get a used one from Jaguar Heaven in Stockton.
If the steering wheel is not moving the wheels, you have a much more serious problem than a bad cassette but at least it's very easy to diagnostic what's wrong with it.
