So I ran the code reader and I got code PO333 "Knock Censor 2 Circuit High"

And ran some test that were included with computer program

I need some help understanding what all this means.











I have a 02' XJ8, the test were ran after driving for 15 minutes

 

The knock sensor is bad. Replace.

 

I tlooks like the knock sensor code is pending. You might want to just clear it and see if it comes back. Is the car running okay ? The long term fuel trims look high also. You might want to just check and see if you can find a vacuum leak anywhere and/or run some BG44K through it. It must not be bad enough to throw a code though.

 

Thanks guys for the help. Well I do get the restricted performance light that pops up.

So I ran the codes at start up that day and don't remember the numbers but misfire codes came up on 6 out of the 8 cylinders. Also a code for fuel running lean popped up.
But I recently had the mechanic fix the oil in the spark plug wells so I cleared the codes and drove for a while a ran the codes again. Thats when the P0333 popped up.

Really the only time the engine/tranny gives me hiccups is when I want to push it the rest light pops up and holds me under 3K RPM.
