Need to reset engine warning light
Washed the engine of the replacement Julies Jag. 2001 XJ8 Sport. Unfortunately the coil covers on one bank got damp inside and ended up with a misfire, then the warning light came on. Sorted the damp coils and plugs and running a treat again, but the warning light stays on, How do I reset it, tried lifting the battery for 10mins, still to no avail.
If you own a jag, you WANT to own an obd2 reader. For basic drivetrain items, they
don't cost a lot. If you want to do SRS (airbags) they cost $$$. I had a transmission repair and the should couldn't clear the code even though it was fixed. I was able to
do it with my obd 2 reader. Start with a cheap one, eventually upgrade. $50 to $500 depending on how much you want to do.

But then you need software.
The current bargain package would be the obdlink SX from scantool.net
because it includes a pretty good software package in the price of 29.95
