Default New Rims for XJ8??

I have a 99 jaguar vanden plas.

I'm thinking about getting larger rims for it.

Currently I have 17's but I want to go to 19's.

Does anyone know what tire dimensions I should be looking for to make sure everything fits correctly, i.e. proper width etc, and my tire won't be hitting the wheel well on bumps. Is the wheel a 5 lug universal?

Thanks in advance!

19" rims - you'll require 8.5" / 255 / 35 tires. This is the tire used on my XJR100 fitted from new with 19" BBS Montreal wheels. Any bigger means rolling the rear wing inner edges. No not universal fit on the hubs, you'll need to find an XJ/XK specific wheel set. OEM is the way to go, after market usually go egg shaped.

I'm running 20's on my 2000 XJR with no problems of rubbing. 245-30-20 in front and 255-30-20 in the rear. She is lowered with Mina springs.

Have you got any pictures of this? I also have 20 inch rims 285-30-20 rear and 255-35-20 front. Would be good to see what it looks like with the mina springs

Cheers.

Nice one thanks for that. I am thinking that I just need to lower the front, as I am guessing the deeper dish at the rear makes it sit just right anyway.

The picture is linked to an external file/photo hosting website. Just use the [IMG] tag.
