Default nice XJR I found for sale

I always like to see what's out there on craigslist, cars.com, etc. I came across this nice, 61,000 mile XJR on cars.com this morning. It looks to be a nice enough example to share on here.

2002 Jaguar XJR, $12,995 - Cars.com

If I had a barn I would start buying up all of these relatively inexpensive, low mile cars and assemble my fleet of XJRs

I like those rims. They are factory 18" Asteroids. I've got them on my car and they look really sharp in person.

I think many people regard them to be the nicest looking factory XJR wheel

I have them on my car as well, they were part of what made me like the car in the first place

Agreed! I have them on mine. I've actually never seen them criticised. These pictures don't do them justice.

I believe they are the standard wheel - mine also has them.

I like the color -- mine is the more common bright silver.

+ on Astroids, they're the best of the XJR 18's and the car's set up perfectly for them. Remind me of the all time classic English racing wheel the 'Minilite'

Sorry guys. It must be an in person thing. I think the rims on mine are ugly too, but new shiny ones would fix that.

I do agree on that. I had the 16" Vanden Plas rims on mine and they look horrible. I replaced them though. '98-2000The Vanden plas rims are by far the worst looking factory rim available for the X300 or X308 in my opinion.

Yes I will trade my vanden plas rims for a set of Asteroids. I think they look good.

The XK8 wheel from the period will also work .....and I like the look .. I currently use them for my winter wheels.

I never like the VDP wheels -- on the x300 or the x308 ... both of my earlier sedans had the XK8 wheels installed.

Word ^^^ I saw some of these on ebay when looking for pics of the asteroid wheels. I would totally rock the XK* rims too. The ones I saw were chromed.

I'm just going from memory -- The XK8 wheels are all 17" -- maybe they made the same wheel style into an 18" for later cars.

My 95 VDB came with 16" - So I used the originals for winters and put the 17" XK's on it when the 8 came out. Did the same with my x308 VDP when they were damaged in an accident.

Years ago the XK8 wheels were easy to get because lots of people put wires on the XK's and the dealers had many new take offs to sell. They sold for $300.00 a set back then

good to see overall most people support the asteroids.

I'm no photographer, but the asteroid wheels do complete the look of the car nicely

I'd love to see these custom 18" deep dish minilites on one.
