hi all Mikey 66 here ( possibly the newest member )
Can anyone tell me from which month/year till which month/year were these engines fitted. Also were they fitted right across the range of Jaguars at the time? .... i am mainly interested in the xj range ( 1997 - 2002 ) many thanks.

 

Welcome from one Mikey to another. You might want to ask your question in the dedicated XJ forum. As far as I know, all V8 powered Jags used the nikasil engines,

Ask the XJ experts, I think it depends on engine build date rather than vehicle model year.

Right, aholbro's links cover it. I believe Nikasil is only on cars between 1998-2000 model years. Its a racing touch that did not aid longevity. My car was made in 09/01 and I don't believe it has Nikasil liners.

No harm, I had a lot of information I needed to add, correct and had to move things around for ease of use. I elected to move it and add what I had and as of today I must have an additional 10 to 15 pages of additional information.
