My blower suddenly started sounding like there is a single engine airplane under my dashboard! It's loud, and almost sounds like a rubbing sound around the fan. It started happening on a really hot day and has remained noisy like that for a while. The sound seems like it is centered under the driver side dash (US). Any suggestions on what has happened and/or how to fix it?

Probably has the 'foam insulation fall into the fan cage' problem. You can remove and disassemble or replace the blower if it is damage.
