non ethanol where can I find it.
I am planning a cross country trip from Denver to Boston in my 98 Xj-8.I not only noticed the unsteady vibration lower gas mileage and power from ethanol but I want to know the damage I can expect.I can get non ethanol in Cheyenne Wyoming and here in Denver 1 connoco station has it.But I need to know all the stations that have it on interstate 80.Nebraska,Iowa,Illinois,Ohio,Indiana,Pennsylvani a.If anyone knows of stations that have 100% gas please post for me.You guys have never let me down and I thank you for that.
Non ethanol gas is quickly going the way of leaded gas. The suppliers out there who have been supplying gas w/o ethanol just can't get it. We lost it last month at our shop. On a car made to run on it that isn't a problem but ethanol is 1/2 the reason I'm replacing the engine in the TVR. The other is an extra 145 horses.
I believe the only non ethanol available in Michigan is race gas or AV gas. Either should not be run in a Jag due to the lead contained in the fuel.
FWIW, here's a link to some pics of actual parts that have been damaged due to ethanol.

The EPA has banned MTBE as an oxygenation agent in gasoline. The only alternative was ethanol. As you have noticed ethanol is not an efficient fuel / additive and it has dropped my MPG by as much as 2 MPG depending on my vehicle. You will be hard pressed to find it other than in the less populated cities in the west and south.
