Default non-return valve (bypass) - where to buy?

Greetings all,

It has been sometime I have been on the forum. Busy with work, moving to new house... all that good stuff. Time to re-focus on Her Majesty. I have had coolant leaks. Two so far fixed (one was a at a hose connector near thermostat, the other was the thermostat cap). I thought I was done, but no. Started losing again. Had a look today and bingo - appears to be the non-return valve (bypass, the one directly under the EGR, not the one near auxiliary heater pump) that is leaking from what appears a crack in the body of the valve itself. OK, so my hunt to find a replacement valve returned nothing besides purchasing an entire hose maze for $200. Com'on - no way to buy just the valve? Any clue anyone?

Cheers

I've replaced this valve with a straight pipe. There were no problems with cabin heat at winter or engine temp at summer.

Thanks again MoscowLeaper. That has crossed my mind and good to hear that it's a reliable possibility. I found a used bypass valve (the one closer to the auxiliary water pump) which I am hoping (from what I could find in my research) to be the same as the one leaking (the one under the EGR). I will try to replace soon and report.

They are really the same.
Actually i'd prefer that route too, but mine valve has leaked when i was on a vacation trip, 1000miles away from home.
The plastic tube was a temp. fix, but since the car has worked fine with it i've decided to leave this "as is"

Job done today. Not the easiest reach but moving the EGR aside it got a little better. All looks good so far. More driving the coming week will confirm.

Cheers!
