Default Numerous Fault lights

I’m now getting multiple electrical fault indications.
initially (started about 2 years ago),
Gearbox fault
Trac not available
ASC not available
these cleared once engine cools down. And lately
Fail safe engine mode (engine performs normal)
with this I lose cruise control and note the brake lights are on, BUT not the centre shelf light

2002 X308 4.0litre LWB Sovereign

Thoughts please
Thanks
ps. New battery about 6 months ago.

Just guessing - obviously - but as no one else replied so far:
The usual first suspects are always the speed sensors or the cables to it being damaged, or the connectors in those cables having corroded contacts, and that includes the big connector going to the ABS module. Hence, dusting of a multimeter to measure continuity would be first step. Dirt in those "spokes", which trigger the Hall-sensors in the speed sensors could also cause an issue, but is more like a rare occurrence.

ABS faults on the CAN bus may trigger GEARBOX fault if a speed signal is lost.

DTCs will REALLY help with diagnosis. (or we can guess?)

Gearbox fault could be from low fluid to broken drum
Let's hope it's just fluid and filter get mann filter and fluid that equal to LT71141 check liqui moly 1200 I hope they still have discount on Amazon don't flush the system let drain then remove the pan replace filter fill to proper level remove battery and connect again hopefully the gearbox work fine

Trac not available probably one of the abs sensors not working in worse case the abs pump itself if the brake light are on you probably have bad brake switch it's behind the pedal iirc . Get obd tool it makes things easier start with the transmission fluid and filter the other things are easy

I had a similar fault light christmas tree when the connection to the instrument pack was iffy.
It could be a simular situation with a connection dropping out as it warms up. I had the same kinda problem with my pedal position sensor and I found the connector stuffed with dielectric grease.

Are you able to read the codes to get more details on the errors and possible freeze frame data?
