XJ8-1998. 68K miles. When bringing the car to a complete stop, the RPMs die down quickly to around 500. Lights dim on the dash and headlights. RPM's go back up to normal. This causes the car to has a slight surging sensation just as your are bringing the car to hault. Its a new sensation and the car otherwise drives just fine. First thought is a bad battery. Get it load tested to be sure. A bad battery can start the car fine but not have the stamina to keep up with demand at low rpm. Some key sensors operate at very low voltages, when the voltage of the primary system drops, these sensors flub up. If this checks out come back.
