Default oh boy, what silly thing have i done now.

Good day all,

After doing a late night tire change I began putting the tire changing tools and flat tire in the spare tire well of the trunk/boot. I had the car key in the ignition turned to accessory mode as i was listening to music upon wrapping up the tire change.
Low and behold i set the flat tire down in the spare wheel well but while doing so i see the lights off the amp and trunk go out. strange i thought, as i walked back up to the drivers door and saw on the dash trac and abs not available. Figured I'd go ahead a start it assuming some weird glitch that would clear after starting, I turn the key and nothing. No crank nor seemingly any ignition activity.

Despite no start, everything else works, lights, windows, even though they seem a little slower than normal, door locks and radio, but just not the engine. I went back out there today and was hoping to see a quick fix or oversight only behalf but still am rather puzzled.

So theses are the cables that run off in the back of the spare wheel well in the current state. Not sure if something here has been disconnected or sheared off but might anybody be able to make sense of what might have gone awry, or posting a picture of their wiring in the trunk so I can help decipher what is suppose to go where.
The pale yellow cable end fells tacky as if it was glue in place somewhere, but can't seem to find where.

Any ideas or pictures would be a great help!
Thanks all!

Check out the electrical section in my signature. You probably have a bad or loose cable. You cannot judge how good a cable is by looking at it, you need to measure the voltage while wiggling the cables.

The 3 wire connector should be 'capped-off' but I forget what optional gadget it goes to. It looks like the cap is installed correctly.

The single wire is for the transit relay that was shipped back to Jaguar when your car was SOLD from the dealer.

FORGET about these wires!!!!!!

They are of no concern to the car owner.

ah thanks for that guys! learning that that wire is just a transit relay does appear to be normal after comparing it to others. I had figure I had tripped or pulled something while messing around the spare wheel well, and figured it would be a quick fix, but now with that ruled out, it does seem to broaden the scope of the source of the problem. Thanks to avt007 guide I've been going over the electrical connections and shall keep digging and hopefully get to the bottom of this!

Here comes a wild *** guess: when you bounced the tire into the boot you probably vibrated one of the relays or fuses. Try pushing to reseat each; then check the fuses.

Then try starting with your other key.

Default boot floor

I'd be also looking to replace the hole plug in the boot floor...so you don't get water splashed up as you're driving along and get it into that connector block.

Standard size...you can see the tarmac through the hole...which is not as was originally designed.

Put it in, and then shoot the underside with some underseal or truck bed liner paint to seal it off.

Just an observation.
