Oil in breather tube??
Hello All,
I did the intro post earlier on my new 2000 XJ8 - 4.0L - 105k miles.
I was out cleaning the MAF sensor this afternoon and noticed engine oil in the air intake tube leading to the throttle body. It is not an enormous amount, but just curious as to what is going on.
The car runs very smooth and strong. When I look into the upper engine at the oil fill, it is caramel brown (not milky) and looks to be pretty clean for 105k miles. No rattles or noises when hot or cold.
Is this normal?
