We bought a 98 XJ VDP in January as our 2nd vehicle. I ride a bike to work most days and only drive the jag on the weekends. Since we bought it in late January, we've put a whopping 1000 miles on it. I was planning on changing the oil every 3000 miles even if that ends up being only once a year. But I read the natural vs. synthetic oil threat and noticed that many commenters were suggesting a frequency for oil changes in addition to milages. Should I plan on changing my oil more often or make sure I use a long-life oil?
