Hey all, so I was doing some work on my Jag (tinkering more so than work) and opened up the butterfly valve and peered down into the intake manifold. At the bottom I noticed a small puddle of oil. I could be paranoid, but is this normal? Thanks in advance!

 

Oil in the intake elbow (so below the TB) is ok, you always get oil from the engine breather in there. Only when you see oil flowing from the engine breather in the intake to the air filter there could be a problem. So as long as your oil consumption is ok, nothing to worry about

Thanks all, it doesn't appear to have oil anywhere else other than on the bottom of the intake manifold, so I won't worry about it. It hardly consumes any oil either.
