Default oil leak ...?

My B-bank valve cover was leaking oil at several points so I fitted a new gasket recently.
Everything was thoroughly cleaned prior to reassembly, bolts not too tight, RTV on the timing cover/head mating points etc.
Now all previously leaking areas around the valve cover seem ok.

I still have some oil leaking however.
Just to the right of the dipstick, some oil is slowly pooling at the edge/bottom of a metal plate that lies below the exhaust manifold. I presume this is some sort of heat shield.

** UPDATE, from looking on the JDHT schematic I think the "plate" is part of the exhaust manifold gasket.

Due to its proximity it cant be coming from the valve cover (the nearest bolt areas are free of oil). The leak was there prior to the valve cover gasket change BTW.
Car is early 2000 4.0 N/A.
Any ideas ?
